In this album, “The Shape of Punk to Come Obliterated”, newer artists cover Refused’s “The Shape of Punk to Come”. Except for one thing, it’s a great cover album.

“New Noise” is not well represented in these covers, but almost all of them are incredible, except for the greatest track on the album. As a substitute, we have two covers. One is a remix by Idles, a great band, but it’s more of a rearrangement with some parts moved, like they needed a shorter radio edit. I’d prefer to see Idles cover this iconic song completely. The next is a cover that is decent, however it shortens the song somewhat. Despite this, the cover album is still a great way to listen to The Shape of Punk to Come.
